Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane's status in proceedings before the Supreme Court of Appeal is been debated before the appellate court in Bloemfontein, Free State. Mkhwebane is before the superior court appealing the judgment dismissing the Chairperson of the Section 194 inquiry, Qubudile Dyantyi's refusal to recuse himself from the inquiry that impeached her. However, the former Public Protector no longer occupies the position.
