The President of the Republic of Botswana, Advocate Duma Gideon Boko, has officially declared tomorrow, Friday the 8th of November 2024 as a paid public holiday for citizens. This is intended to allow Batswana to attend the historic moment, being the inauguration of Botswana's new and  6th president, President  Advocate Duma Gideon Boko. Former EFF Chairperson, Advocate Dali Mpofu has announced his departure from the party to join  uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party. Mpofu says he believes the MK Party is the only vehicle to achieve unity and true emancipation. Meanwhile, EFF leader, Julius Malema says all is well, the party will keep on standing and rising. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to Political Analyst, Sandile Swana.

Sporadic protests in Mozambique have kicked-off ahead of the much-anticipated march to the Capital of Maputo. Twenty-four people are confirmed to have died in violent clashes with security forces as opposition supporters demonstrate against what they say is a fraudulent election win by Frelimo, the party that has ruled Mozambique since 1975. The Lebombo entry post remains closed as trucks transporting goods remain stuck for kilometers on each end of the border.
