Durban City midfielder, Sinamandla Zondi died suddenly following a Motsepe Foundation Championship match last night. In the match at Chatsworth Stadium against Milford FC, Zondi collapsed while playing. The match was immediatley suspended as the player received medical assistance. Chairperson of the KwaMaphumulo Taxi Association Sphamandla Mhlongo says the Cator Manor police were altering detention warrants when arresting the Kwa-Maphumulo Taxi Association. Speaking at the Nkabinde Enquiry into Advocate Chuake's Fitness to Hold Office, Mhlongo said his association members were being killed by Cator Manor Police in conjunction with rival taxi association.

Sergeant Fannie Nkosi, known as Witness F, testifying at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, says businessman Matlala asked for his bank card, claiming he needed it ahead of meetings with Deputy President Paul Mashatile and General Sibiya. Nkosi admits he mistakenly omitted this detail in his earlier statements before the commission, calling it human error. Under questioning by Advocate Chaskalson, Nkosi denies protecting Mashatile and maintains his version of events before the commission today hearing.
