Chief Forensic analyst, Edward Sereo has resumed his testimony in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, currently underway in the high court in Pretoria. Yesterday, defence counsel Zandile Mshololo told the court that it took several ballistic analysts to verify Colonel Chris Mangena's findings - as the results from the bullets fired from the alleged Senzo Meyiwa murder weapon, were inconclusive. Defence in the Senzo Meyiwa trial doubles down on inconclusive results from the bullets fired from the alleged murder weapon

A politician, an ANC cabinet minister, an activist, and once a pharmacist, Pravin Gordhan, will seemingly be remembered with mixed emotions. He has been hailed for bringing SARS' administration firmly into the 21st century as Commissioner of the tax collection agency.  He was also well-respected by the capital markets during his tenure as Finance Minister.  But at the end of his political career, the minister has come in for criticism for the slow turnaround of key state-owned enterprises and concerns around the soundness of the Takatso-SAA acquisition deal, which subsequently fell apart. The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation, on behalf of Gordhan's family, hosted a press briefing following his death.

The theft case against Longwe Twala, the son of the music legend and producer, Sello Chicco Twala has been postponed to next Monday. Longwe made a brief appearance in the Randburg Magistrate's Court after, Chicco Twala opened a case against his sons, Sello and Longwe, who he claims stole sound equipment from his Johannesburg studio. Randburg Magistrate's Court postpones theft case against Longwe Twala to next Monday

National Police Commissioner, General Fannie Masemola, has announced that 85-thousand suspects have been arrested for various crimes across the country in the last month. Masemola was speaking during a media briefing at a roadblock in Houghton, Johannesburg, on Wednesday where he provided an update on the SAPS countrywide operations. He was joined by the National Head of the HAWKS, Lieutenant General Godfrey Lebeya, who highlighted that law enforcement officers implicated in extortion and corruption will be dealt with
