The Masked Singer revealed a housewife… Tune in to find out who it is!
Two Teas in a Pod with Teddy Mellencamp and cam rich Edge. All right, we are back with another episode of Two Teeth in a Pod and we have a very special masked guest. And all I can tell you from the start is hibiscuits costume.
It was fabulous.
When I saw it, I was like, oh my god. I mean the detail that they put into this costume. I mean, and it's just was so streamlined and so chic. It was like a very chic biscus flower.
It's like, and I love the color.
I mean, they literally came to my apartment in New York and measured every part of my body.
Was okay, just so well done.
Did you get to pick or did they have it picked out for you?
Well, you know, we talked about my inspiration was my so my mother, you know, in puberty, said you know.
You're a beautiful flower and one day you're going to bloom.
And so I was talking to them about that and they were like, oh, it's got to be so. And then we talked about color and things like that, and and I love cabaret bread and so you know, it's just it morphed into hibiscus and.
I wasn't comfortable.
The outfit was comfortable, but let me tell you, wearing a mask over your head and performing is no easy feet. I mean, they make it look easy on the show because you know, listen, you you have rehearsal and all that, but it's very claustrophobic. You can't see out, you have no peripheral vision, you can't see where the mic is even because you can't really see down, you can only see forward. So it was very challenging, I have to say, And it took a while to get used to.
But did you wear it for a long time because TV time's a lot different than regular time.
Well no, you know, well we.
Have rehearsals in it because you know, I had to get used to being in it and and then performing in it.
So yeah, I mean, and when I was not in Hibiscus in my outfit, I was, you know, in a Darth Vader outfit.
Because you really walk around behind the scenes totally covered from head to toe. All we had to all, you know, hider our identities. So that was the really interesting part, which you know nobody knows about. You know, how you go around backstage is like you know, yeah, literally like a Darth Vader Mouse.
I think people don't realize, like five minutes TV time is really about forty five minutes to an hour of.
Filming exactly, exactly A.
Long time to be in that.
Yeah, but you know, listen, when they asked me to do it, I was like, you know what, this is a challenge for me. I you know, I love competition, I love you know, you know, I love singing and I love performance.
So it was really exciting for me to be asked to do it.
You know, how did you get ast?
Yes?
Well, actually I went on to give a clue like a couple of months before, and then I got the call to actually come on and be a mass singer. And I was like the rialed because you know, I love the show, I love Jenny, I love you know Bryan, thinking all the judges are great and you know what a great experience, you know, to do something like that, something I've never done and a challenge.
Do you think Cabaret got you prepared for it?
And what was harder?
Like, well, one hundred percent, because I'm used to performing on stage.
I'm just not used to performing on stage with a mascot.
You know, are you going to add that to your cabaret listen.
You know, well, i have Mary f Kill coming up. You know, I'm playing the Wiltern in Los Angeles February sixteenth or Valentine's Day.
I want you girls there.
Oh, I definitely want to go to we have to go.
I was out of town or had something else to do last time year in LA So that's the definite yes for me.
We would ask so that can we come up and sing a song with you? Though no, God, absolutely, that would be so much time.
So I was thinking, you know, my inspiration really comes from my shows that I'm doing now. You know, I'm heading to New Orleans and every teenth, Houston, Chicago, and Atlanta, amongst the other dates that I'm doing. But but the inspiration for the new show, which will be in February and at the Wildern was was my audience. Because every show I do, I get asked okay, Countess Mary Efkill, and you know, they give me a lineup, and so that was really my inspiration. I've written a song for the new show. I'm super excited. But you know, with even this tour coming up in November, you know, it's it's always new because you know, I've done Krabby Lake since I performed last and you know, so all my inspiration really comes from you know what I'm up to in my life and it's a fun time.
I don't know, you guys have not seen my show, so you have me.
I can't wait. How many shows are on your tour and how long are you touring?
Well, I've got you know, I've got to like at least ten dates coming up. I've already done like eight shows. So so I'm playing Minnesota on Friday night. I'll be in Prior Lake, Minnesota doing a show Friday, then Saturday get to Bravo Con. Then I'll be in New Orleans on the eighteenth, Houston on the nineteenth, and then I'm going to be in Chicago beginning of December for three dates at the Park West, and then I'll be in Atlanta.
How do people get tickets to go to your show?
Ny can find tickets at Countess luand dot com with all my dates and yeah, and the new tour is not till February sixteenth, so it's not up yet. But it's February sixteenth.
Martha.
Your calendar is at the will Turn for Valentine's day.
We are down and well too, so make sure you and back to Mask Singer. You performed on one hit Wonders Night. Did you get to choose your song? And how'd you pick it?
Well?
I did, and you know, there were a couple options. I can't remember what they were, but it's raining men really stuck out to me.
I'm trying to manifest.
I'm manifesting here as I go along, and you know, it's such a great song.
And I had so much fun singing that.
So yeah, and if I stayed I was going to sing easy as well.
Oh that's a good one.
Now.
I know lots of major singers have gone on MAS singer like Debbie Gibson, Leon Rhymes. Yeah, all right, now, Candy Burrs, our own housewife, one MASS singer.
Did you reach out to her get any advice?
You know, I did not because it was a while ago.
I think that she did the Master Singer, right, it's been it's been a while, and you know, I just wanted to have my own experience. You know, it's like going on to the housewives and calling people and going, you know, what.
Should I do?
It's like, well, yeah, you know, kind of be yourself. Do your own thing, So I did not.
But I think Candy's great.
And I know you said that you walked around in like the dars Vader costume, But did you ever bump into Sandoval?
No? No, nobody knew who anybody was.
Oh so even the cast has no idea.
I didn't think so idea.
I didn't realize that nobody knows who anyone is. I never knew the whole time I was working on the show who anyone was.
Oh my gosh, Well keep watching you, guys, and we are so proud of you, and we can't make killing at the Weltern, and we appreciated you, and we'll see you.
Soon, all right, girls, Love you girls.
Bye,
