Two Teas in a Pod with Teddy Melancamp and Tambraid Jedge. Hi, guys, welcome to Two Teas in a Pod with myself, Teddy Melancamp and dam Ra Judge. We made it that. This week we have Drenda Medley who was on Real Housewives Girls Trip or whatever they made with you Yes, Ex Housewives or something like that. I'm hearing, which I really don't like that name. I'm gonna throw that out there right now. Why would they change the name after the first one. Isn't it the first I think? I think, isn't it the same production and everything? It is great, there's such a great company to um. I think what they're gonna do is use the Ultimate Girls Trip. I'm just thinking just from when I've heard from my interviews and stuff, and then it's going to be Ultimate Girls Trip, Ex Wife's Club, Ultimate Girls Trip whatever, like I think. So, I think they're really trying to figure it out, but I think they should stick with Ultimate Girls Trip. I mean, I do have to say I may prefer the beach vacation to cold just I'm saying. After COVID, I kind of felt like, yeah, I don't put a bathing suit on. Oh true. Alright, alright, I guess we have Brenda in the waiting room. Let's bring her. What's bring her in? We are bringing in Dornda Medley. We are so excited. Originally Tam wasn't gonna be able to be here because she's under the weather. We don't know if it's the VID or not. We'll find out, but I'm so excited that you're both able to be with me today. Um, I'm excited to be here. Bribe my kids outside of this room with my with their iPads and like, do not you come in? Listen? I have Hannah. We just turned twenty eight yesterday. I'm like, I mean, do not bother me for the next thirty minutes. She's like okay, no, never ends. They say okay, but then it's like they forget, Like I already got a little note in there asking about a snack. I'm like, get your own snack. You know what about this morning, I'm on an important call with nutri System. We're talking about next year and whatever, doing it again and if we're gonna do it. And I'm like hands like, I'm like I'm on the phone. You think it's okay, I'm doing my stay another day, I'm like, oh my god. Other than that, this is your house. Stay, stay for the rest of your life. Never so, no, I locked the door. The door is actually locked. Here in the back room. I can't even sit in the She's actually sitting in the closet. I wish the closet. I should be smarter and lock it. But then I get the banging, like the panic. But why we locked the door? But you guys, I have to ask first question, is we before you came on Dranda Wet and your house is no longer an Airbnb. Well that was just the one off. It was like there that was a two. It was more of a promotion. So what they did is Airbnb approached being said, we want to do sort of like a thing where we do to one night stays. It actually was very clever and they money goes to charity and then you know, you can apply for it was like an auction and I got like a hundred and seventy six thousand people that applied for these two one night stays. It was bizarre, but it was it was. It was beautifully done. What they did is the person would come at five, I would meet and greet them welcome to Blue Stone Matter, and they didn't they got they didn't use the whole house cameras, so they only like I only had to have three bedrooms. I'm cringing right now because I know how you are about your house. Yes, I couldn't have done it, so I had to just use the fish room and two guest bedrooms. And isn't the fish room the one that nobody wants to be in but that you love well, Like we did it, so it's like it's now, I guess, and it's a It was always nice. It was my little it was my stepson's room when he was a little I think it's beautiful now. Before I was like a little boy's room. But and they came at five and they would check in and then the next morning attend. I would come back and say how was your night, and then they'd leave. It was really very basic. And then the next couple came the following day. But here's the interesting thing. The first couple came so sweet, like it was almost like they couldn't figure out, like it was real, Like the woman was like just staring at me. So I said, listen to enjoy it. I've got wine out and stuff. So I came the next day. I said, how did you enjoy George wad Be at the door. She goes, oh, it was great. I said, did you like the what was your favorite? Oh? We didn't sit anywhere. We sat in the kitchen. I said why. So that was then Ben this three gay guys came and they had a ball. They were cool, they were in the closet, they were they never went to sleep. There's a ought to see in that house. That's pretty amazing. But you know, what they did is what I thought was great about airbabies. They supplied security people, so it's not like it was a real air baby where you're just left to your own devices. There was a security person. Airbnb isn't great. And how much was it at night? They optioned it for nothing because it was a fundraise. I think it was like five a night, so it was really nothing. Are you gonna do it again? Everybody's gonna be wondering, you know, I'll tell you the truth. I was having a moment yesterday when my third set of relatives showed up where I was like, I don't want to it's not so much. I don't I love having the house but like when you own a house of this size, you become the main entertainer. So you're the glue. So everybody comes and stays at my house, and I love it, but I'm tired. I've had people in my house since the nineteen How was having that? I made forty five pounds of bacon. I've never seen so much in my life. I don't even eat bacon, okay, And all I know is lenn is making bacon every single morning. I'm going broke on bacon. And the next season of Girls tremp or whatever they're gonna call it, well, I heard they're calling it menopausal mayhammers, menopause matter, menopause matter. I actually used that in my interview just to let you know. I think that's well. How how was it? Who do we get? I mean I wasn't there, so I need to know who is the hardest for you to get along with? Let's see if I don't listen. I think it was the type of thing where, you know, it was eight we were the the interesting thing when when it was pitched to me first, it was pitched to me that it was gonna be you know, I was talking to Andy about it would you consider, and they were gonna do four days, so three nights, four days here and then four days somewhere else, which I think would have been less work and it would have changed it up. But then they I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden the place we were going to go to fell through and then they had to change it to eight days. So remember it's like we come eight people who I mean, I know Tara, but I don't really know a lot of the other girls that well. I knew them, but not that well. For eight days we were here, so it was wild. I mean it was, aren't you glad? I think that we made a good show. I think people will laugh, but bribabe, they'll make it nice, you know what I love. At the end of it, as we all we all came out of it talking, you know, where we all a little wounded would be left. You know how it is, after you do you stop filming your nervous rack. Your nervous system was like on fire. But then as time goes by, you're like, you're making a show to entertain people. And we had eight very strong women. They're very strong, so individually they're strong characters and collectively, they're strong characters. Yeah, and you had in this ninth character, which is kind of blue Stone manner. Right, so we had nine characters. I mean, I I know everyone else is like whatever, I'm excited about it, but I don't mind all that stuff. I want people to laugh fright before I'd be happy, we all walked away with being friends, like we're on a group group chat text And how about brand How about Brandy's text message the other day? I'll tell you too. I know that was crazy. Hello, what was after all that stuff happened with Vicky and Steve and we kind of saw it happening while we were there. Well, you kind of nailed it, what you say, Yeah, but that didn't make me feel good. Like I was like, you know, you know the old thing, I tell it like it is, but I always make it nice. I told it like it was, but didn't make it nice. But I could see the writing on the wall. You know, there's that old saying that you know, marriage and love is in your heart, lives in your heart, but dies in your vagina. You know what I mean. So if you're not having you know that old sade? Yeah, but I heard that she's kind of on a date with someone else. No, VICKI, I think she's starting to date. Yeah, she's trying it. She calls me she hates it. She she texts me the other night our face time me, I'm sick as a dog, and she's like, pack up your face and I said, no, I'm dying. So I turned all the lights off, accepted it. And it's some guy she's with on a day who was very nice. Hey when people do that. And then she's like, because I told her, you need to screen these guys. You're you're you're dating? Radar is horrible, horrible during are you dating? I've been kind of seeing this going out on day to this guy, but you know what the thing is, and Tamara knows this about me. I just don't know how to make the jump into like bring it to the next level. I just can't. Well, I'm just where where are you right now? Well we went Okay, Tamma, you're gonna love this story. You're waiting for it. So the other night I went out and I didn't feel good. I had, I had. I just was getting done with Strap and the strip really hit me hard. Usually I can get to Strap in like four or five days because I'm a carrier, I think because my immune system is not as strong as it used to be. Uh, it just and so I told him I didn't feel good, but insisted I'm going out and it was like our fourth a fifth day, and uh, you know, he just I don't know. He started talking about what am I doing for the weekend? When am I doing over Christmas? What am I doing over No, your New Year? Something that's not your business. Okay, So well you had said you're not sure you're completely open to move on. I don't like, Yeah, I just I have a question. Do you want to make out with him? At the end of the night, was struck. Well, I didn't I and I gave him a sore throat. I mean, I think that's the day. It's funny. How are you doing? Two days later? Sorry, you had to go home early because at one point I decided to go home. I was it was just getting too much, and he said, but I hate to tell you, but I have a start throat. But don't worry. It's not stressed. Yes, but you know what, there's a difference between that and it's not that everyone's like, oh, you're so afraid to having sex. It's not that I'm afraid to have a sex. I just know when you take it to the next level, a lot of other things come with the next level, especially when you know there's certain people that don't want to be that's that I want to be capsuled. But I can tell this guy wants to like, like talk about what are you doing for the weekend, and I don't. I want to go a wall on the week because I don't want anyone to bother me. So maybe you just set up the boundaries from the beginning and say, kind of this is who I am. I'm happy that waited too long after Richard, even though I dated John and never with you know, John and I never lived together. We only saw each other two days a week. It was sort of like I didn't even have a drawer of my house, you know. And he's still a good friend of mine. I just think I waited too long. I think I've gotten too quirky and weird to live with someone full time. I think it's too I think that ship is sailed. I've had two hush friends. Yeah, my mom did the same thing. You did it. You did a good job, you met someone, you got got right back down the horse. Jill did it. She got right back down the horse. And they're not married, right Chill and her. You're not. But you don't think they waited at this age. You know, they're very committed and they lived together and they had they have a life together. I think I've waited too long too and I've gotten too independent. It's never too late. Well, you'll you'll know. You'll know if you start to feel differently than it means that it's something else. If not, listen, I'm gonna go back to the city um this week and I'm gonna see him this week. So did you meet him on an app or from a person? No. I was sitting at Omar's. Omar, my friend Omar opened up this like little private dining club up in the back of Lagalu. It's like really cool. You go behind a curtain and everybody super dresses up. It's kind of like a speakeasy a little bit. And I was sitting at dinner with like twelve people and he came and sat down next to me, and I introduced myself and we're talking and we're having a great time, and all of a sudden, I'm like, how long have you known the person that we're having an issue? He goes, oh, my god, I'm at the wrong table. So he had so he's like, he just sat at the Mont table. So then he went over and then afterwards I stopped and had to drink with him as I was leaving, And did he know who you were a prior? He says no, but I don't trust that. And you know what, at the end of the day, you have to just assume everybody knows who you are. Well, speaking of that, you know you're missed on New York. I don't know what I don't you love. I was thinking about Brandy the other night saying they last Oh you're gonna love this study. What they were does that saying you were paused, you were fired? Oh she was? She got I think she had a few drinks and she got on the group text, and well, I have the group test text. Sometimes the group tests can be really dangerous after a couple of drinks because you're feeling like, oh, now is the time to really open up, and then you're like wake up. The next you're like, yeah, I think it's time for you to come off pause because they need you back on that show. What's your what's your opinions? What do I think of it? Yeah? What's your I gotta tell you something. I really think I want Shan a side on this for are you? Yeah? I can see both sides. I don't hate Channon for telling Emily and Gina, But the thing is that Emily and Gina or not her friends. They never have been her friends. But did she tell them off? Did she tell them off the show? She did? They She went from filming from what It Sounds Like to Javier is the bar in Newport and she started drinking and said, by the way, this new I mean, there's no way she didn't know Nicole was the Nicole that was going to be on the show, because you guys all know as soon as a new housewife is hired, we google her, we look at her Instagram. We know this girl's coming on. So she played dumb like, well, I think it was this Nicole weeese, but maybe it's this you know what I mean? Well, I knew that, and I understand what you're saying because on Heather side, you know, really a tough way to start questioning his It was candled poorly, yes, but I do think what it was that bothered me. Wasn't the Heather side of the Shannon side of it. It was those two Emily and Jina. Really, you know, I swayed back and forth with that because I know how Shannon is. But the thing is like I've had a few drinks and had loose lips. I've done that before, so I understand. I just did it. I just did it yesterday with someone, and I've already gotten in trouble with it. So we do, especially if you're in the show together. You're like, and you feel ty, you can you leave the dad and then you're like, don't say anything. And the thing is true, Taramra and Teddy is you know better than anyone. If you're not that type of woman, you probably aren't going to be a housewife good housewife. Like there our chatter boxes, you're like the chatter and we'd like to talk about it. But the thing that here's part of Heather lost a little. We'd like to fight, you'd like to make up. I think all of them did did a good part. She told her. The only thing is like I am friends with Heather, so I felt bad, Like if you're going after somebody's likelihood that's not cool. That's right. I did feel bad and he's I don't know him, but he appears to be a very great plastic surgeon. I don't really understand the whole thing because I've been watched it all. So she accused them of doing a bad boob job. Yeah, evidently, twenty years ago Nicole got a boot job from Terry. She had some complications. She said, her agent or attorney or somebody told her to sue. She attempted to sue it, then backed out of it. Years later, she met Heather. I think, um, the kids went to school together or something and became friends. I don't think they were best friends. I think it's like friends at school acquaintance. Yeah, so then Heather got her on the show. But you would think this Nicole Curl would be like, oh, ship, things are going to come out, And that's what I don't get. The one that I'm fascinated by is that Noella. Yeah. I think there's a lot going to be coming out about her and her story. I really do. I think so too about you, guys. Before we get into OC too much, I need to ask you additional Girl's trip. Did you watch this past season the one with Kyle Ramona, all of them during that think and you know what, I'm gonna tell you something I didn't and I'm gonna tell you what I did think about that, which I'm hoping and I was saying, I think Tama was saying this to me, and I was saying the guitar, I'm hoping. It kind of came and went, and I think it's a little different viewing with the peac at like I'm hoping we don't miss a big part of the audience because a lot of my people in my life haven't watched it. Like I almost wish it were a Bravo week because the great thing about the problem the weekly. Every week we could talk about it and you look forward to the next one. I gotta tell you, guys that it was four blocks and four blocks. It kind of came and went and I was like, oh, it was on, and my brother Johnny just said, yeah, I don't know. That's the one thing as talent. I was thinking, I don't know if I'd like streaking on something that's streaming, because you're like, they're sting. That's where it's at, you guys. I am sorry to be the bear and bad news. But I am the I am against you guys on this one. So because I wasn't a Housewife watch or prior to doing Housewives, I loved it. I'm a bene watch television type person. So for me, I absolutely loved Girls Trip. I think you guys are going to crush it as well. Like it's one of those things I don't want to watch one episode touching. I think for Trenda and I are talking about as a viewer, it's great to watch bench watch, but as talent, you like that build up every week, the different you're you know, you're only as good as this one, because you know what I said too, there was none of the like and next week and the memes and the people talking about it in the podcast. It kind of came and up block and then the other block came and it was done, and I'm I'm just I'm not thinking about that one. I just haven't had time. You have to watch it. It's pretty bad because we need to know, like, what do you think it's officially time for Ramona Togo. I'm on pause and I can't speak that now. Listen, like, remember you don't worry nobody watches our podcast to me, if I ever went back, what would be my tagline? It would be I know I've been on pause, but it's time to play. Yes. So but have you talked to Ramona? What are your do you think why? And I don't speak? And you think it's over for her though, or you think she can make a comeback? You know, you just you know, you just don't know. You know, you're always surprised who they keep, who they let go. I never thought that those Emily and Gina girls would be there and you wouldn't be this camera like I was. I was like dunefounded whatever that or Vicky would be gone. Like to me, you just don't know. And for New York, it's in such a kerfuffle about how I think what direction to go and do not that I know this, but it just seems like we don't know anything kerfuffle. So I'm just trying to put it out of my mind, like Damna said, put it out of your mind and just move on with your life. And I think that's what you have to do. It's hard, though, right, you know, reminded of it every single day we turn on social media. We got downs from people missing one housewive like you walk the strange people talk about housewise like these these haters are on on social media like you're fired, You're gone, stop talking about Housewives. Well, it was a huge part of my life. Let's say that to people that went to USC or you see l A that are still talking about it, like just you know, like it was a big part of your life. I don't think it's ever not part of your life. I think once you're a housewife, it's like the Mafia, you're always you know, and it's so iconic, the franchise and people sort of you know, it really built worlds around it that I'm very proud of. When people yellow and I don't, I'll be I used the platform to my advantage all the time, as do we all meant less about it. Do you think do you think it would work to have jail back? Yeah, you know, I just listen if okay, I'm probably gonna get in trouble for this, and there we go, we're off. I think that the only thing I would say is the next this season that just passed did not do well. Obviously I wasn't on it. It wasn't because of me. I think they were now I think part of it, but you know, there was COVID, there was it was a strange mix of women. I think whatever they do next, it's going to be a major chess move, and I think everybody's got to really bring their game because you don't want to show where everybody knows, Like do I still when people ask me, am I gonna go back? But do I still have a story to tell? Like that's how I us. I tapped out like I was a great housewife. But who knows? You know, you just don't know. Maybe there's a position to be a friend and then maybe time for a new group to come in and start. I just don't know. And that's gonna be the chess move. If they go with all the oldies again, yes, but then what's gonna be Like I don't know, I just don't. I think the audience like they like to see familiar faces. They don't like any girls come in, like the thing with Gina and Emily, Like you said, they've been on the show for four years, but everybody called the new ones. Those girls, they're people are not invested in them for some reason. Well, because here's the thing. When I watched Hugh Tamra before I knew you, let's say, and that you know, you were on before New York, and obviously I wasn't not yet. You know, I kind of every year it was like it was like peeling an onion. I got to know you better, Oh that's new, and oh my god this So you kind of developed this personal relationship with this housewife. So when I was the audience at that point, I was like, oh, I know you just went this, Yeah, you just do the one that grows face. And you know, I felt invested in your story. I don't feel invested in their story. I don't know. I mean, I know how you how you feel about Emily camera. But I'm saying I don't know that it's necessarily some of the new people's fault. I think they're thrown into It was such for the supposedly being these organic friendships already that then all of a sudden it's unable to unfold naturally. So how do you connect with somebody that you're forced to connect with? Like That's where I was very lucky because remember I knew everybody on my cast for like twenty years. I been to their kids, not everybody I didn't know Bethany and I knew Carol, but only socially, like very socially. But you know, I went to these people's you know, parties, and grew up in their kids, and so it was really so to film was just a natural thing. Why do you think Bethany has been so like negative about Housewives post it did so much for her career, so much for her life, Like why, I mean, we're all talking about it, but we're not bad mouthing at or anything like that. What do you think it is? Don't think? Do you think she's ma? She was really up that about the book. I thought, I don't know how sets the right word, but she had said how Andy was coping on bad behavior between something. Don't don't quote me on that. But she was not happy about that. Um, she didn't participate. She's I didn't go. I think maybe it's I think I think the housewife's thing is, you know, it has for all of us, hasn't beginning the middle and and you know, I don't know if it's the end for me and camera, you know, I think, but you know there then then I think also too, when you do so well and you've moved into a different life and and you've been so successful, maybe it's hard to go backwards. I mean, maybe that's like maybe she's just that's negative. Of She's never been really negative about it. She expresses her concerned, but I think we all kind of expressed our concerns. There are times where you're like, you know, it's a it's a it's definitely I said, it's like being in the NFL. You have to go on the field and beat each other up and then get off the field and pat each other on the ass and be happy to you know, you know, or a drink afterwards. But that's a mentality you get yourself into and when you're out of it, fully it's probably the look back might be a little different. I'm not there yet. Like I still feel very connected to Bravo and the franchise Into the Girls, But I like it. I like the whole sorority of it. I like, that's what I'm like, that's what I miss about it now. Yeah, I really do. And you know, like Beverly Hills, New York, you guys really were friends, and you guys ran in the same circle, and you guys you would disagree, but you would, you know, come back together. Orange County was like Survivor, like I'm gonna kill you and your family and see if you can stand up when you get fired. I clap like it's such a difference. So it's it's harder for me to want to go back. I just think, God, that's it. I went to old school. I want Picky, I want Heather, I want Megan, I want these people that you know seasons were and you know, whenever I was watching that, we went even the other night of you and all you guys in the Dominican Republic, where um, what's her name, the one that had the big boobs, a really Christian one, Alexis Alexis, and it was like old school housewife and it was housewife fory you you. It was like, and you love rolling with it. Yeah, I miss that. I miss the old days in New York. The other day it was like I woke up with two in the morning, I took the TV and it was on. There was a Christmas episode with all of us, you know, doing some up a blue stomy for Christmas, and he just said that you posted a clip. It seemed very withnic and natural, and no one worried about the camera and how they looked in makeup and they I think there's a little there's a lot of awareness now. I think they are should go back to the old cast, the good old days with you and Ramona and well Bethany probably won't, but just that don't bring a new one. I feel like the new ones just doesn't work. I'll be so interested to see you know you're trying not to think about it, but unfortunately I'm not. Like I'm not, as I told Teddy at the beginning, like I just I think it's just still part of my life. I just I know the days where I'm like, okay about it and I'm like, no big deal because I thank god, I'm doing okay and we have to smash up and there's been nice opportunities that have come. But there's still days where I'm like, miss it. But I gotta remember I'm not missing what I was on. I got very lucky because when I was as Brandy says, fired or put on pause, Um, it was COVID, So I kind of yes, were the COVID were the probably maybe you really do so it did hurt so much. I would do a lot of this. It's okay because it's COVID. I wouldn't want to be filming anyway. Yeah, for sure. M okay, So I'm going to start in on my Instagram questions, which I always do it. It's nothing. Everything is available to be asked. You can answer, however you choose first one. If you had to choose one person on Beverly Hills and oh me that you think you would clash the most with, who would it be? Okay, let's see Beverly Hills or oc So Beverly Hills. Well, oh see, I think it would be Emily. So are you and Tama like fine texting? Oh my god? I just I just never and I think a lot like on Beverly Hills. It's I'm so not Erican at Lisa, who is else is on Beverly Hills. I love her cars, I love grselfa. I actually think I fit in perfectly and Beverly Hills just my cocking in. I think i'd like I love I love Sutton, Yeah, I kind of don't. I don't think I could run with it, but I think they run too fast. I mean I couldn't keep up with the dressing and I'm an okay dressler with That's enough. Oh my gosh, I opened up her coat, close it and it's all Gucci Baton, like Richard ten years ago. That's all right. They never got to starts back. And I guess now with all the legs, Tarma, who would you say, Beverly Hills you would clash with the most? Um? Maybe Erica? Yeah, yeah, just because I still think you would. I mean I don't, I wouldn't want to, but I just feel like I pop off a lot, and I just think and I think that she would just be the one to be just like, sit down, a little girl. She but she wouldn't once, she wouldn't say a little girl. Here's the thing I and I remember. I didn't get along with her at first, and it was because you know, when you have similar personality types and you when immediately you're put with somebody and you don't know how to feel, it gives you that uneasy feeling. Yeah, that's what it is. That's what it is. With Once I actually got to know her better, I was like, oh, wow, you're not scary at all. It's just you are similar to me, and I don't know how to respond to it. Well here ye, at least the thing with Beverly Hills girls though that they will disagree with you, but they're not going to go after you and attack you like they So I could probably handle any one of them. But it's so different from what I'm used to like, they're very it's a very different They're like a family. Yes, And you know, one thing I have to say, Teddy about you guys, is you really I really felt like, and this is probably what happened with New York this year, you really felt like off camera, you guys were still hanging out. Yeah. I mean there was a point in time where we were told by production get off the group text like you got they don't want you talking. You're too close Foughtstore five. It's got to stop. You go with me, Shannon and Vicky being close in the whole well, Shannon named us that I was very against it, but um, they didn't like that. Teddy, would you ever go back? You know? I went and did something, you know where I had to film something else, and I made kind of a deal where I'm gonna film this but in order to do this, and I have to say that doing it in a part time capacity didn't feel good. So I would not go back. Not as a housewife. I think your last season you were so good. You were so good in your last season. You really spoke up, and I'm like, what, wait, what she's not coming back? And your your friends, you guys are friends, so it doesn't make any sense for me for you not to be on. But I'm actually kind of okay with that. Do any of us ever really know when we're when we're let like we're like it a herd and like we're in a big field and then all of a sudden you're pushed out of the heart. Do we ever really know why we were pushed up? I have a question. Did you get the meeting? Okay, so for me, I had the meeting right before, like you start filming again. Did you get that meeting before you got what let go or demoted or whatever it is that you got. I just got a call one day to tell you the truth. I thought. What happened was my friend and my very dear friend, John Gizwald, who was on the show with me. He did door Wobics with me, and he did it at BRAVOCN and he was in a lot of the scenes, had died the day for it. So here I saw that yeah, yeah, he died unfortunately, and uh, like you know, the Blue and I was actually believed it or not in the midst of making a Blue Stone Man of Gingerbread, how thinking it's COVID, we're gonna be up in the Berkshire's a lot because I knew I'd had about, you know, a bad season or a negative season. But I just thought, well that, you know, every season, someone has something different, and this season with the mean season, and here we go. And so I really was I thought I was getting a call to for my condolences, to tell you the truth. So I was completely blindstided, but I just kind of, you know, I just sort of was like, okay, and you know, and Andie was kept saying, it's just a pause. It's just a pause. Now, by the grace of God for all of us. I think it was the best thing that ever happened, because I don't think I could have gone back, and just you know, I think it was very tough filming during COVID, especially in New York, because New York is such a character of ours and I I got to write my book, I need to do the Bourbon, and luckily I got my fingers into other things because because I think you really could sit around and really bawl your eyes out and you know, feel very isolated. Because it's like when you don't go back to college the first year. You know, you're all excited you graduated from college, but then fall comes and you're like, where are my people? Because I enjoy the routine of filming. I enjoy the whole it's a it's a hard transition. It's a very hard transition. And anyone that tells you they're not I think they're lying a little bit. It's like the same people that say that they left because they wanted to focus on their family and such a liar, Like we know, I know what that means right there, but I mean I think it's like anything. And also, I rejection never feels good, so you know, it's pause, even if it's full time break. I also think too, you know, they managed to pick real outfit women. I mean, we are women that outside of the show are strong, successful getters. We're not women that lose, you know what I mean. We're not women that they say no to. So for us to fail is like what you know what I mean? I have a racehorse? Okay, do you do you see this bloodline barons pumping. I'm gonna fight for this. I mean, I make it nice. Give you okay, So top three things to make it nice? What do you need to do? And any you can pick any avenue in life? Top three things to make it nice? Um? Oh god. I would say the top three things to make it nice is to make sure that everything is all set ready to go when people arrive at your house. Organized. Done. Yeah, I've got to stay very organized. Number two, I would say, have lots of booze good. And number three, make sure that everybody knows their departure date and they by it and they hurt. Everybody reads that reads the rules in the bedroom, at least the rules. I have a rule thing by the bed for everybody. Did everybody's rooms? I didn't read it? Oh no, did you eat in your room? Oh? I haven't right here? Yea, I'm so. I can't say, actually, haven't it right here? Here we go? Okay, So what are the rules that's here? Rules number one, rules of the manner. No shoes upstairs because I have all carpetty carpet and stuff, and I just don't like the dirt upstairs. I just think it's yucky when people I'll try. It's a country house, so you know that. I was film no food or back which upstairs, no bever you kind of water, no water, but I mean like no no, So I'm not gonna say who, but someone's spilt. I just had to have a chair. We coverage for thirteen and a half thousand dollars because the whole thing coffee was built on it. Sorry, they paid for it. That don't worry. Any questions please act. The third one was this was made for them. Any questions please, asked Lady of the manor. And number four remember buying your manners? That's okay. So were these rules made for the filming or was this they always in there? These? Well they I never allowed shoes upstairs because otherwime, my, my, your carpets white. Well it's it's like a masny stripe f You know what? It got filthy from all the crew. You know, do you know camera? I can tell you this little bit bit. You guys left on the Thursday, so they came we started filming on the what to my house. They came to my house on the tents to set up and they didn't leave into the Oh my god, wow, we had a lot of people care we you don't remember, but at one point we had a hundred and six people, but we had that whole like village. Say there was there untrailer. Could you imagine what the budget was for COVID testing. But I have to say they were very good about you know, because I one point, when they all left, the last trailer went down, I was like, oh my god, my driveway looks like Coachella. I had no more life. I literally was like Coachella left. And luck that they were very good about coming in and taking care of everything. And then during the what would you say the biggest difference to filming girls trip or menopauseman or whatever, It wasn't even. It wasn't even. It wasn't even close. I mean, this thing was a huge production. You gotta remember when they filmed. When they filmed us here. First of all, they come on a Friday morning and they leave on a Sunday. They come with like six cameramen, and it's very sort of like fundamental almost did you guys have three crew? So we Tamer and I both had the same production company. So we had a crew and B crew and secret when you did New York? Was it the same thing for you guys? Yeah, but they didn't have all three crews up here. I mean we Tamera can tell you. We had grown people, we had production people, we had huge mean, there were hundreds of people on on my property. And I really didn't to tell you the truth when I got because we all got the same contract. I thought I was going to start. When they started, I realized that there was going to be like six days before where people major set up, right, I mean it was. It was pretty wild. Would you have done it again and had them host in your house? Knowing now I wouldn't have. I don't. I think it was too hard right after covid to do it for eight days. I wish we stayed for the four and miss mixed it up like at another place. I think that would have been a little But listen, I think it's gonna be great. I'm not taking away from it, but for one person to host, and you know, they really wanted me to, Like you saw them every day like I did Chesterfield, Like they didn't know the Berkshire, so I was coming up and hosting agent. Did you guys have chefs and housekeepers and or did you get But I gotta tell you something. It was amazing and I think to Tama would I didn't realize, which was not a problem, but it was very you know, I don't really have that many people in my house ever at one time, especially for eight days. I didn't realize that every thing in my house was going to be used, like all my Christmas duffy. I came home one day, everyone my Christmas decoration had Christmas in July. I come home another day, and all my plates every day, which is great, but you know, it was a that's a real loss to control because I was gonna say, I'm such a control freak, so I wouldn't have liked it. I wouldn't even going crazy. I know every day this day I had to I had to really just say let go and let God on because like I can't find stuff, and I just because I think when they packed up, especially to Grige, like all that Christmas stuff somehow got packed up. I don't know, I can't find it. I don't Gradge just sort of I haven't dealt with it. I could be wrong. I'm not blaming, but it was a loss. Like I am a type as far as you see how organized, well, I would have to say, Direnda, if it wasn't for you, I'm not going to give anything away, but if it wasn't for you, we would not have had probably the best show. I know this is gonna be the most abasing show. Um. Yeah, it's gonna be amazing, but it's I think the fa part was. But the hot air ball I woke up in the morning, the hot air balloon was over the house. That was and I got a beautiful moon. I sawhow got the guy to get a blue ballooon, and I was like, now, this is beautiful production value. That was beautiful and visually it's kind of amazing, I hope. So listen, we have to let go and like gods and nowadays out there we did our best. You know, I think we were troopers. I think for any women to spend that don't know each other that well, eight days post COVID together morning, noon, and night in one house, it's pretty amazing. But you have to let me finish with one last question for both of you guys, you cannot pick each other. Who is the one person that you felt closest with leaving girls trimp or whatever we're calling it. I would say Padre and Eva. I spent a lot of time with them, and I stayed really close to them, but I'll be honest with you, I kind of folk a little closer to each one in a different way, you know, I can. I felt like I more understood them, but Ata I never really knew and if I spent every morning with before a radio show, and I didn't think I'd have that kind of close relationship with them, And was there anybody that you thought you were going to feel a certain way about it and shocked you? Yeah, I yes, I think so I didn't. I think Brandy probably at some times. I'm sure she felt it with me too, because I didn't, you know, really understand all the nights and all that. You know, she really knows how to stir it up, you know, she really knows how to push all they like that. There's at one point where I'm like, show up. You know. I saw a different side to Brandy because I only knew like the fighting, mean side going after me on social media and stuff like that. Um, so I did see a softer side to her that I was shocked to say. She does had That's what she's very vulnerable, and there's something about her that one minute you can be angry about it, the next point you feel sympathetic and you want to help her. She's got a very um yeah, don't you feel that way? And then probably for me it was probably well, I shared a room with VICKI so, and I know Vicky the best, So I've probably walked away being close. I don't know if I could be closer to her, but yeah, that was your person. Yeah, you guys, well, I cannot wait to watch. Do we know a month yet that it's going to be released? Is it coming soon? I think in March or April? Right, Tama? They don't you know how they would even tell us the name of it. Yeah, I'm gonna tell you. People think that we're being coquettish. And you know this better than anyone, Tamma. But when people are like so, and someone said to me and they oh, yeah, sure you don't, I said, I really don't know. They give you no information. Heard. I literally just found out I have an interview on January time. Oh I just didn't if I did my first one, I have a second one coming up. That's always fun. The interview is replaying it, so I don't give my feeling to her, So go ahead, you can say whatever you want about me in my interviews. She doesn't get her, she doesn't get her feelings her. But we'll talk about it here whatever it is exactly. And then I just didn't take it too serious. Well you don't think that, I said to Andy, because I'm stay know. I'm gonna start doing a radio show with with Andy Radio Andy in January called make It Nice. I had I did it before and then COVID happened. They just didn't take me up with. Now I want to start it one week and I'm like, can I talk about it there? You know what I mean? Like, it's because we're gonna be in the midst of it. It is what it is. It's all you know. This is all's fun and more in love and gains and relationships. The good news is we all left feeling I think closer. It's a sisterhood. It's like we're sister you know, Like I just this is my sister the other day, and she's coming here this afternoon. We get we cycled through it because we all know what we're doing. We all are good at it, and We're all strong, powerful women that you know, have something to say in the world, and I like that. Now you've used your platform for many great things, and you have a bourbon, you have a book out, and now a radio show and a candle candle. Hold on, I did not get a candle Torenda, and we are d M friends, and I'm very excited about my bluster at a bourbon. We sold over two thousand bottles already. That's even up two months. Well, it sounds delicious. We are so grateful that you came on. You were supposed to be filling in for Tamor because she was saying she called it together for you, so thank you so much for coming. I'm sad we're out of town. Thank you for having me and I really love your thanks. Feel better. Thank you, Bye bye. Hey guys and Ashley from the Almost Famous podcast. It's that time of year where drama fills the air. The Bachelor was back with an all new season premiering January three. There's a new host, Jesse Palmer, and a brand new Bachelor, Clayton. Clayton is a Midwest boy that has that great nice teeth and he's really tall as let's call it what it is. He's a beefcake. Okay. Well, Clayton seems to be a good guy though, and he can't wait to find love, get married, and have kids. And he believes more than anything that his future wife is on this show. It sounds like a fairy tale but also a bit of an emotional world coaster because Clayton tells three different women he's falling in love with him. Technically, he told one, I couldn't be more sure that I'm falling in love with him, and another one, I'm falling in love with you, and the third one, I am in love with you. You don't miss a thing. It's from years of over analyzing everything that guys say. But his heart is in the right place, But other parts of him as we find out what he admits that two different women that he was intimate with both of them. Yeah, I don't think it's gonna go over Well, we'll be breaking down it all the Almost Famous podcast Ben is Married Now Well Ashley's a Mom will change your opinions of what we think is acceptable single behavior. Good question find out on the Almost Famous podcast on iHeart Radio and wherever you listen to podcast. Well tam, How do you think I went like, is there anything she didn't share? Well, there's a lot. She probably didn't share our notes and share just because we can't see much about the the season two of the Girls trip. But I think that, Yeah, you're just gonna have to wait. I know there's a lot. It was an intense filming eight days. And when I said we couldn't have done it without her, you're gonna learn why we couldn't have done it without her. Not just because I'm not talking about the house. She brought it. She was in full form. She was in full form. Can't wait? Sure, Why didn't we should have talked about next time? When that airs, we have to have her back on and we're gonna we're gonna do a little therapy session between the two of you. Yeah, of course when we're going at it. I was in a cheese string, so that's lovely. Oh yeah, Hi, by the way, thanks for the vibrator and arrived yesterday. Awesome. I'm glad. Oh my gosh. All right, you guys sending any questions you have to teas in a pod. We love doing these with you and we'll talk to you soon. Oh, Happy New Year. Happy new Year,
Two Teas in a Pod with Teddy Melancamp and Tambraid Jedge.
