Paula Hart: Meet Me in Melbs

Barefaced Stories is a platform for those who surrender to the chaos of being human.  Raw, honest, self-aware – our storytellers wear their bloody beating hearts on their sleeves and are some of the bravest folk you’ll see.

Stories are told live onstage, without notes in Australia.

BAREFACED STORIES

REFRESHINGLY HONEST. BOLD. AND BRUTALLY FRANK.

You wouldn't believe what happens in a state that's four times the size of Texas but with less than 3 million people rattling around in it. All that space, where no-one can hear you scream, or laugh, or cry. Shit happens here (with a very Australian accent). Barefaced Stories are the true stories told by people raised under a chroma blue sky, on powdery white beaches, in aqua-clear waters and occasionally, deep down in the dirt - some are humourous, some are sad and some downright perverse.

Created in 2010 by performers Andrea Gibbs and Kerry O’Sullivan (“the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers of Australian storytelling” – Richard Fidler ABC Radio), Barefaced Stories is honest, risk-taking, refreshing entertainment that hits the spot.
