Sometimes when I'm tired, I get calloused about other people's pain. Sometimes when I'm busy, I get dismissive of other people's pain. Sometimes when I've been hurt, I get cynical about other people's pain. Granted, if the circumstances are right and I've got my stethoscope on or my Bible in hand, I am much more compassionate about people's pain. Still, I'm so happy we worship a Savior who is never dismissive or cynical or too busy for our pain, and no matter what brought on our pain, Jesus is always deeply moved because of it. But even more, Jesus is able to heal us when we're hurting. If you are in pain today, other people might get it or not.
