Tim Conway Jr. brings his signature humor to breaking news, Los Angeles current events, Orange County stories, Riverside County headlines, the Inland Empire, live police chases, freeway traffic, Hollywood craziness, pop culture, the big sports stories of the day, politics, gambling, and everything happening across Southern California. With his finger on the pulse of what’s happening in SoCal and beyond, Conway delivers funny, fast-moving talk radio every weeknight on KFI AM 640.

Heard by listeners across the country and around the world on the iHeartRadio App, Conway’s humor, storytelling, and take on the current news of the day connect with audiences far beyond Southern California. His perspective is local, but his comedy, curiosity, and down-to-earth view of life translate across cultures, communities, and languages.

Tim Conway Jr. was born and raised in Los Angeles and is the son of iconic comedy legend Tim Conway of The Carol Burnett Show. He spent his childhood around Santa Anita, Hollywood Park, and Del Mar Racetracks with his father, four younger brothers, and older sister — experiences that helped shape his humor, storytelling, and down-to-earth perspective on life.

During his early career, Conway produced his own internet radio show and, thanks to its popularity, was offered the opportunity to host a talk show on 97.1 KLSX-FM. Over twelve successful years, his show became famous across Southern California for entertaining topics, live police chases, Hollywood craziness, pop culture, sports, and current events with a twist of humor. In 2009, when KLSX switched to an all-music format, Conway joined KFI AM 640, continuing to bring listeners his unique comedic perspective on breaking news, politics, gambling, history, sports, entertainment, and life in SoCal.

Throughout his career, Conway has been featured on Fox 11, CBS, NBC, and ABC, and has received numerous industry honors including a Golden Mic Award, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and a Marconi Award nomination for Personality of the Year. When he’s not entertaining listeners, Conway enjoys spending time with his family, supporting local charities, and hanging out at the racetracks.

Hour 1 (10.01) 125 speed cameras start coming online across LA by Halloween. Warnings come first, then tickets for 11+ mph over. Plus: a Sherman Oaks bar open since 1978 gets 60 days to leave, while In-N-Out stays.

6:05 A shooting in West Hollywood near Sunset Blvd and Holloway Dr. The victim was inside a Ferrari SUV, and the LA County Sheriff's West Hollywood Station is investigating. Also: an Extreme Heat Warning runs Friday through next Thursday, with triple digits in the valleys.

6:20 Playoff prop bets as the Dodgers, the NL's top seed, open the Division Series at home Saturday. Plus another shooting investigation, this one in Mar Vista.

6:35 Pineapple Hill Saloon & Grill has been on Van Nuys Blvd since 1978. Now owner Angela Marsden has been told to leave for the Sherman Oaks Square redevelopment, while the In-N-Out in the same plaza stays. The bar's Legacy Business status gives it no legal protection.

6:50 LA's 125 speed cameras were supposed to go in over the spring and summer. Contract delays pushed them to fall. Fines start at $50 for 11–15 mph over and go up to $500 for 100+ mph. Tickets don't affect your license points or insurance.

LA Speed Cameras: 125 Go Live by Halloween

Hour 2 (10.01) A developer wants Tim's house, and under SB 79 they might be allowed to build big. Dean Sharp explains, plus why ADUs were 37% of all new homes in LA County last year.

7:05 Dean Sharp, The House Whisperer, is wearing a Kirkland fleece he got at Walmart, of all places. Then the real story: a developer is interested in buying Tim's house. SB 79, the Abundant and Affordable Homes Near Transit Act, took effect July 1, 2026. It lets developers build apartment buildings near qualifying rail and rapid-bus stops, even on single-family streets. Plus, the quiet ADU boom: LA County finished 10,230 ADUs in 2025, more than six times the number in 2018.

7:20 More with Dean on how ADU approval works. If your plans meet state standards, your city has to approve them within 60 days. There's no design review, no hearing, and no neighbor appeal. In the coastal zone, a new 2026 law puts coastal permits for ADUs on the same 60-day clock.

7:35 Walmart's new "Shop to Light" feature: tap an item in the app and its digital shelf label flashes so you can find it. Plus, SNAP changes started on Oct. 1. The maximum benefit rises to $306 a month for one person and $1,023 for a family of four, and states now pay 75% of the program's administrative costs.

7:50 HOAs: What do you actually get for your money? Tim also takes on being head of the household. Plus, a new Nature study co-authored by LA's City of Hope: transplant patients who ate more sweets while on strong antibiotics lost more of their healthy gut bacteria.

Hour 3 (10.01) Former Disney CEO Bob Chapek says Disneyland has about 1.1 million Magic Key holders, and that Disney was leaving money on the table. Plus Donny Osmond stays in Vegas.

8:05 In his new memoir, Behind the Castle Walls, Bob Chapek puts Disneyland's Magic Key count at "somewhere around" 1.1 million. He uses that number to argue Disney should have raised prices more aggressively. The top-tier pass already went from $699 to $1,599 on his watch.

8:20 A REACH Air Medical helicopter went down in the water off Pebbly Beach near Avalon on Catalina Island Wednesday night. The patient's family identified her as 45-year-old Catalina Hernandez of Avalon. They say she was being flown to the mainland after an allergic reaction to shrimp, with her son aboard.

8:35 Donny Osmond has extended his Harrah's Las Vegas residency through June 2027. It's a 90-minute show where the audience picks songs from his 65 albums, and he calls it "probably my favorite show I've ever done." Plus a Culver CityBus driver was shot and killed by a passenger after a dispute in Mar Vista, police say.

8:50 SpaceX launched 130 satellites and spacecraft on one Falcon 9 from Vandenberg on its Transporter-18 rideshare mission. The payloads included a Google test satellite for running AI chips in space. The booster landed back at Vandenberg on its 25th flight.
