He spent his childhood around Santa Anita, Hollywood Park and Del Mar Racetracks with his father, Tim Conway (Carol Burnett Show), four younger brothers and older sister.

Andy’s superstition is that if a newsroom or radio station is too nice, the show suffers, so the general scrappiness around here is a good sign. KFI is no place for germaphobes, except Tim. Andy just got back from a little vacation in San Francisco and was shocked how clean it’s become in the two years since Daniel Lurie was elected. Whoever ends up mayor of LA — Karen Bass or Nithya Raman — needs to take a page from San Francisco’s book.  

Breaking sad news: Longtime ABC and CBS anchor Harold Greene has died at 82. He was the inspiration for “Anchorman.”  

Andy admits he loves collecting and restoring old cars; he’s selling one on an auction site with no reserve and is nervous nobody bids or they lowball him.  

Prop 38 didn’t get much attention until a post on X went viral. The measure would put about $9 billion into immunization clinical studies, with roughly $4.6 billion going to a nonprofit run by three people, one of whom is billionaire spinal surgeon Gary K. Michelson, who put the prop on the ballot. He spent more than $70 million of his own money to get it there.  

The crew then debates the importance of emo princes Jimmy Eat World, who play the Hollywood Bowl this weekend.

Hackers remotely cranked supermarket fridges and freezers across at least ten countries — Ireland, Estonia, Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands, Finland, Germany, and more — and spoiled millions of euros in food. It follows a bigger hit on roughly 700 French stores last month. Experts say it looks Russian-linked, US military commissaries in Europe may have been targeted, and French blood banks got hit too.  

In Tennessee, vintage guitars worth thousands were stolen in Chattanooga and turned up at Carter Vintage Guitars when someone tried to sell them. Staff got suspicious, called the cops, and one suspect using the fake name Nico Simpson was nabbed after leaving the instruments to be authenticated. In West Hollywood, people in polycules and other multi-partner setups can now register as a government-recognized domestic partnership as of today, though not at the same level as marriage. And in Myrtle Beach, a cop pulled a gun on another officer after someone heated fish in the work microwave. The crime was lunch.

The first one may or may not be from a band whose name rhymes with Strolling Bones. Andy keeps the guitar-solo game going while getting nostalgic as he heads toward 40 — he even got the old band back together. Sounds like early-onset midlife crisis. Earlier today at KTLA he interviewed “Star Trek” actor William Riker, who’s doing a pancreatic cancer fundraiser.  

Does Ryan Seacrest still have his own wing at iHeartMedia HQ? Word is he doesn’t come in the building anymore because he doesn’t like running into the riffraff — meaning us. And now it’s The Foosh’s turn to try to stump DJ Riesmeyer with a solo of his own. Hint: the band is considered super cringe and comes from Canada. No, it’s not Sum 41.
