Learning and teaching was disrupted at the Kurhula High and Hundzukani Primary schools in Huntington near the Kruger Gate in Mpumalanga. This over the condition of the classrooms and the provincial Education department ignoring their complaints since 2021. Parents locked out the teachers and learners accused the provincial Education Department of  failing them. Accordingly the parents wrote several unanswered letters to the department seeking a solution to the poor state of the school infrastructure.

The SACP has rejected as divisive and lack of foresight, the ANC's intention to write letters to those with dual membership to choose between the party and the ANC in the upcoming local elections. Earlier the ANC said it will be issuing letters to such members on Thursday to respond in ten days on whether they will campaign for the ANC or the SACP in the next polls. This emanates from the SACP's decision to contest elections independently. SACP spokesperson Mbulelo Mandlana says they reject what he calls the ANC's tactic to punish their members.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in Gauteng says it has decided not to proceed with the case against a 58-year-old man, who was arrested in connection with a deadly road rage shooting in Emmerentia, Johannesburg. The man was expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court today to face charges of murder and attempted murder. The man was involved in a physical altercation on Sunday, with another driver, which escalated into a fatal shooting. The 48-year-old man that was killed during the incident is believed to be a Pakistan national and his body is expected to be repatriated to his home country for a burial

He died on Sunday  night after losing the battle with cancer of the bladder.The bereaved family says in a statement that Bevhula will be remembered for his unique voice.Family spokesperson Shadrack Bevhula says details of the memorial service and funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
