A well-known Xitsonga musician, Kenny "Bevhula" Ndlovu, has died at the age of 53. He died on Sunday  night after losing the battle with cancer of the bladder.The bereaved family says in a statement that Bevhula will be remembered for his unique voice.Family spokesperson Shadrack Bevhula says details of the memorial service and funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.

All ANC and SACP members will be given ten days to respond if they will be campaigning for the ANC or for their party. Speaking in Johannesburg earlier today, ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula says he will be issuing letters to all Communists on Thursday. This flows from the ANC Special NEC meeting held a fortnight ago. The one day meeting was called to discuss the SACP's decision to contest elections independently. Mbalula says in the upcoming local elections, Communists will have to choose between the ANC and the SACP insisting they can't have it both. He says there will be consequences for those who failed to respond within the ten-day deadline.
