There is no evidence linking accused number four, Mthokoziseni Maphisa to the conspiracy to assassinate Senzo Meyiwa. This is according to his legal counsel, Zithulele Nxumalo.
Nxumalo was arguing before the High Court in Pretoria - where Maphisa is applying to have charges against him dismissed. Five men are on trial for the 2014 murder of the Bafana Bafana captain.
Maphisa is the only one, who proceeds with the discharge application after four of his co-accused abandoned the process. Pearl Magubane compiled and Amukelo Ngobeni has more....
