FOCUS: Charges against accused number two in the killing of two women whose bodies were fed to pigs, withdrawn at the Polokwane high court in Limpopo.
INTRO: The family of Maria Makgato whose remains were disposed inside a pigsty at a farm at Onverwacht outside Polokwane in Limpopo, has reacted with disappointment after charges were withdrawn against one of the three accused. In a dramatic development, the High Court in Polokwane withdrew murder and attempted murder charges against pig farm former supervisor Rudolf de Wet. De Wet has turned into a state witness. 61-year-old pig farmer Zacharia Olivier and a Zimbabwean national William Musora are being tried for the August 2024 murder.
