Organisers of the Conference of the Left have dismissed suggestions that they are setting up a political parties. They brief the media on their readiness to host the conference of the left leaning political parties and social movements. The SACP sponsored three day gathering, is called to rebuild the organised power of the working class and the poor. It was reported that it will be attended by several political parties, trade unions and federations, academics and social and community organisations from home and abroad. The meeting started in Boksburg starts east of Johannesburg yesterday on Friday until tomorrow on Sunday, with a conference declaration. At least 300 delegates are expected to attend the SACP' sponsored Conference of the Left in Gauteng this weekend.
