President Cyril Ramaphosa has come out strongly against corruption, telling scores of residents in Bloemfontein in the Free State that his government will ensure that it roots out corruption. Speaking at the national Freedom Day celebrations to mark 32 years of democracy, Ramaphosa said the they are reforming and strengthening the criminal justice system, and building a police service and a prosecuting authority which people can trust.
