The Speaker of the National Assembly Thoko Didiza has released the names of the members of different political parties who will be serving on the impeachment committee. The deadline for the submission of the names by political parties was last week Friday. Didiza says almost all the political parties met the deadline except the ANC which indicated that it would submit its list of names over the weekend and has since done that. She says two of the political parties, the PAC and GOOD party have decided not to submit names saying they each have one member of Parliament who also serve in the executive. The cluster convened an emergency meeting with other stakeholders in Pretoria following protests across the country. JCPS chairperson Mamoloko Kubayi says there will be periodic meetings to receive reports on the progress made in dealing with the issue of illegal immigration.
