The Justice, Crime Prevention and Security (JCPS) Ministers will today  convene an urgent meeting to discuss the rising protests on against undocumented foreign nationals in the country. The meeting will be held at the Union Buildings in Tshwane. In response to the broader challenge of illegal immigration and general social cohesion issues, the Ministers will meet to finalize a framework on the national action plan to combat racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance. INTRO: The South African Human Rights Commission has come under fire from members of the public, who accused it of prioritising the rights of undocumented foreign nationals over that of South Africans'. The commission held a virtual Imbizo to discuss concerns raised by citizens over undocumented foreign nationals. Some members of the public also questioned why the Imbizo is being held now, saying it comes at a time when communities are taking to the streets against undocumented immigrants.
