Electricity minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has acknowledged that electricity is expensive. However he says government is workinig working on an electricity pricing policy. His comments comes as  residents of Diepkloof, in Soweto marched to Eskom's Soweto offices demanding a flat rate tariff of 350 rand for their electricity consumption. Its work ensures that place names reflect the province's rich cultural heritage, languages, and historical identity. Residents with expertise in areas such as history, geography, linguistics, or cultural studies are encouraged to submit nominations before the closing date of 27 March 2026.
