Four MPs and the former head of the EFF Student Command left the party in less than two months, each for a different reason. Fana Mokoena is the warrior who recently left the party. Following the departure of impeached former Public Protector Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane, who quit the party 12 months after joining, came word of his departure. On Wednesday morning, Mkhwebane, an EFF MP who had previously served in the National Assembly, also submitted her resignation to Thoko Didiza, the speaker of parliament. She lost several court battles with the state after parliament opted to impeach her last year, most recently her attempt to get the government pay her back. Since then, she has been removed as public protector.
