The South African Civil Aviation Authority has revealed that 200 pilots and crew may be have compromised Licenses and may be operating illegally.

This is due to certification issues that include medical assessments which every aviation professional has to undertake to be “fit-to-fly”.

Last month, South African Airways has suspended their chief medical officer after allegations arose that Dr Nhlanhla Sishaba has been certifying staff themselves.
