Hey, y'all, it's doctor Joy. In collaboration with author and breathwork expert Z Clark, Therapy for Black Girls is exciting to present to you a six part meditation series thoughtfully crafted to guide you easily through the moments that might make the holiday season difficult. Happy holidays, y'all, and take good care.
Finding your holiday joy. Regardless of how you spend the holidays, remember that in every moment, you have a choice. You can choose to prioritize self care at all times. You can choose to rest when you need to. You can choose to do things that bring you joy. You can choose peace over worrying about what other people think and what other people need. You can choose the people and the things that bring light into your life. Take a moment now to think about what you are grateful for. What are you most grateful for? In this moment. As a new thing you are grateful for comes to mind, notice how it makes you feel. If it feels right, bring your lips to a smile. Deep breath in.
Hold about the top for five four three two one.
Exil through the mouth. May this holiday season be filled with joy and light and all the things that nourish you,
