The government has appealed for calm following growing tensions around undocumented migration, warning South Africans not to take the law into their own hands. At a media briefing yesterday, the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Migration condemned illegal identity checks, raids on homes and businesses, and acts of intimidation targeting foreign nationals.
