From 2028, Sasol is expected to scale back its gas supply, raising alarm bells about the country's energy security, the cost of doing business and the impact on household budgets. Experts warn that unless alternative gas sources are secured urgently, industries could face major disruptions, economic growth could take a hit, and consumers may end up paying significantly more for energy.
