Optimism for Bafana Bafana as 2025 Africa Cup of Nations kicks off in Morocco

The wait is now over for football lovers across the African continent as the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco is just hours away. The 35th edition of Africa's flagship football tournament will be staged across the Christmas and New Year period for the first time ever. Hosts Morocco will kick-off the tournament THIS EVENING against Comoros at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah at 9pm. With 24 teams vying for glory across six host cities, Agadir, Casablanca, Fes, Marrakesh, Rabat, and Tangier, the tournament promises to be a spectacular showcase of a new generation of African soccer talent. Bafana Bafana  travelled to Morocco on Wednesday and will kick-off their campaign against Angola TOMORROW. The game is set for 7pm at the Stade de Marrakech. A win would place Bafana in a strong position in Group B and relieve pressure ahead of tougher fixtures. Our senior sports reporter, Sifiso Ramara, was out on the streets of Marrakech to speak to some of the fans.
