Gone are the days of quite weekends when the “MBER (last 4 months of the year) are upon us. The Hazendal Festival- Soil Edition is set to take place from Friday, 4 October to Sunday, 6 October 2024, at the historic Hazendal Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. The festival explores the richness of soil as an archive that carries stories of the past, present, and future. Rooted in the Nguni proverb “Belele nje, Abathulunga” ("They may be asleep, but they are not quiet"), this edition promises an immersive experience blending art, science, and spirituality. Attendees can expect a dynamic line-up of sculptural pieces, live performances, workshops, and discussions aimed at deepening our connection to the earth and understanding the intricate relationships between land, heritage, and culture.

The three-day event features art installations, film screenings, culinary experiences, and live music, ensuring there is something for everyone. As the festival progresses into the night, live performances and thought-provoking conversations will transform the estate into a space of reflection, community, and celebration of the land's bounty.
