Today we speak to Tonderai Shoko from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, who has been voluntarily cleaning the streets of the city for years. He dedicates at least 30 minutes of his time daily to cleaning the streets.

#KeepBulawayoClean is a one-man, non-political initiative which is attracting interest from the corporate and business world. Companies are adopting streets in the city of Bulawayo and complimenting efforts from the city council to clean up the patch/streets that they have adopted.

The idea came about when he reminisced about the good old times when Bulawayo was one of the cleanest cities in Africa, growing up in the 1990s.

As we mark Stress Awareness in the month of April, a time dedicated to healthcare professionals and health promotion experts across the country joining forces to increase public awareness about the modern stress epidemic.

According to a survey by Ipsos World Mental Health, 70% of South Africans have faced stress levels that make it difficult to cope with life’s demands and more than half reported feeling so stressed that they were unable to attend work over the last year

In a country where poverty and unemployment rates remain stubbornly high, access to mental health services and support can often be scarce, exacerbating feelings of hopelessness. We spoke to Dr. Keitumetse Mashego, Clinical & Sports Psychologist

People who are conventionally attractive are often treated differently, treated better, than people who aren't. That's "pretty privilege."

While some say that they are color-blind when it comes to race, it's hard to deny that many people not only see colour but they also use it as a way to judge or determine someone’s character.

Colourism and pretty privilege are not often mentioned as influencing societal advancement, however,  various academic studies have demonstrated the connection.
