This Women’s Month, the Malibongwe Arts Festival: Tribute To Women 2025 returns to celebrate the power and artistry of women through music. Taking place on the 24th of August at Mark’s Park in Emmarentia, the event will bring together legendary performers, rising stars and audiences from across the country for a full day of live performances. The line-up includes Thandiswa Mazwai, Ami Faku, Makhadzi, The Soil, Lloyiso, Mi Casa and UK soul singer Keshia White, each set to deliver a performance that honours the strength and diversity of women.
This year’s festival takes on added meaning with Dr. Criselda Kananda as the new Ambassador and Chairperson of the Malibongwe Arts Festival Foundation, aiming to use the platform to create opportunities for women in the arts and to amplify their voices. Families and music lovers are invited to gather, enjoy, and be inspired by a day of soul, rhythm, and connection. Joining us is Joe Chakela, Event organiser of Tribute To Women
