This October, the power of movement takes on new meaning as Dancing Out of Cancer, founded by renowned dancer Nomsa Manaka, brings communities together through two uplifting events; a hike and a dance marathon. The DOC Hike on the 18th of October at Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve invites participants to walk in solidarity with those affected by cancer, raising awareness while surrounded by the beauty of nature.
A week later, on the 25th of October, the DOC Dance Marathon at the Soweto Theatre will turn rhythm into remembrance. Dedicated to the late Khosi Ndesi, the three-hour dance event celebrates her life and courage while inspiring resilience through the art of movement. Both events are free to join, with donations supporting DOC’s cancer awareness and wellness programmes. She joins us instudio
