Salient Advisory has released a report, funded by the Gates Foundation, highlighting 24 leading health supply chain innovators in Africa. These innovators are reaching 50,000 healthcare providers across 33 countries and are poised for significant impact.
Over the past decade, these innovators have partnered with over 100 manufacturers and 75 public health institutions, delivering health products to millions. Notably, Kasha achieved $50 million in annual revenues in 2023, showcasing the potential of digitally-enabled Order and Inventory Management services.
The report calls for targeted support from governments, donors, and global health institutions to enhance access for underserved populations and improve care cost-effectiveness. Simplifying regulatory pathways and evolving contracting systems are crucial steps.
