As South Africa’s digital economy grows, a new wave of content creators and influencers is redefining how brands engage with audiences. With this growth, creators are no longer just social media personalities; they are small business owners navigating contracts, partnerships and financial responsibilities. Understanding tax compliance and managing income properly has become a critical challenge for many in the industry. The Business of Influence: Creator Tax & Compliance Seminar aims to address this need, bringing together creators, influencers and social media entrepreneurs to learn how to structure their earnings, meet SARS requirements, and operate with professionalism.

The seminar, led by influencers Penuel Maduna and Penny Ntuli, will provide practical guidance on managing taxes, working with corporate partners and building sustainable brands. It will explore SARS’s newly introduced tax segment for influencers, which formally recognizes income earned through social media as taxable revenue. The event will take place on the 27th of November 2025, at Lumo Lounge & Living in Johannesburg, offering creators tools to build careers with both purpose and responsibility. To further unpack we are joined on the line by Sibongiseni Mbanjwa, CEO Ambitious Business Consultants
