AgriSETA, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, is set to host the highly anticipated Agri-Edu Symposium on the 10th of December 10, at Unisa’s Main Campus in Pretoria, under the theme “Transforming Agricultural Education for a Sustainable Future,” this event aims to address critical concerns within South Africa’s agricultural education system. The symposium will spotlight the urgent need for curriculum reform to bridge the skills gap in the sector, foster innovation, and ensure the agricultural industry’s resilience and sustainability.
The symposium will tackle key themes, including reforming agricultural curricula to integrate modern technological advancements, addressing the disparity between academic training and industry requirements, and fostering innovation to drive job creation. Emphasizing collaboration between the private sector, government, and educational institutions, the event aspires to equip the next generation of agribusiness leaders and farmers with the skills needed for a sustainable future.
