Over the years we have seen a difference in “typical role” of fathers, modern dads have embraced a more engaged and hands-on approach to parenting. Influenced by shifting societal values that prioritise emotional intelligence, gender equality, and work-life balance, today's fathers are more actively involved in all aspects of their children's lives. Active father involvement not only positively impacts the mom but has a long term effect on a child’s life. Spoke to Sthembiso Phakathi, founder of the Single Dad’s Foundation.
