The infrastructure at Imo State University is in a troubling state, with many of its facilities showing clear signs of neglect and deterioration. Across the campus, students and staff navigate broken walkways, outdated lecture halls and classrooms with little or no ventilation. For an institution meant to support learning and development, the conditions tell a different story; one of stagnation, disrepair, and growing frustration.

Students have voiced concerns about the impact of these conditions on their education. Many say that poor infrastructure affects not just their comfort, but their ability to concentrate, participate, and prepare for their future. In a time when higher education should be a pathway to progress, Imo State University struggles to meet even the basic standards of a functional academic environment.
