As the festive season approaches, many people who have worked hard all year to adopt healthier lifestyles however face a familiar challenge of “staying on track”, people find themselves eating more indulgent meals, skipping workouts and putting their health goals on hold until the new year.  Maintaining a healthy balance during the holiday season doesn’t have to be daunting, it’s all about making mindful choices and finding ways to satisfy cravings without derailing progress.

One way to stay health-conscious during the festivities is by swapping out traditional junk food for healthier options. For example, baked sweet potato fries instead of regular fries, or a spiced yogurt dip rather than creamy dressings, can offer similar flavours with fewer calories.
