A week later he was shot after another violent confrontation with federal agents. Republicans and conservative TV hosts used Pretti's death to call for a deescalation of the illegal alien roundup. It was all fake news. They never learn, do they? They always get snookered by the Left. Mr. Pretti's death was a terrible, terrible tragedy, but it could have been entirely prevented had he not attacked federal agents.
