As we reflect on the 30 years of democracy, we often look to elders to help us navigate some of the lessons we have had to learn on this path of freedom and give us wisdom for the road ahead.
Our next guest served during the first administration of our democratic dispensation: the Mandela era. In a recent speech, he argues that there is still a long way to go in our democratic journey. He argues that the journey to nation-building requires all of us. In the speech, he highlighted what he believes we need to urgently address: the outcome recent elections, land, access to water, malnutrition and shares his concerns on growing incidents of racism within communities.
