Victoria’s ‘Go Slow’ Zones 17/12/22

View descriptionShare

Victoria has shifted into the slow lane as motorists confront thousands of 40km/h zones, which are now almost as common as 60km/h zones.

Two Greens-dominated Melbourne councils will be allowed to host citizenship ceremonies for the first time since 2017 after Immigration Minister Andrew Giles backed down on the previous government’s insistence they hold them on Australia Day.

Local general-duties police officers formed a heavily armed “extraction team” to rescue their fallen colleagues, driving on to the Train family’s western Darling Downs property in the vehicle of the trio’s murdered neighbour while under fire.

And in sport, Andrew Thorburn has quit his leadership of the church that cost him his job at Essendon.
