Anna Coddington: Kiwi singer and songwriter writes about the Kiwi summer Christmas experience in 'Blue, Blue Christmas'

View descriptionShare

Most Christmas imagery depicts snow, woolly jumpers and yule logs- which doesn't translate over to the Southern Hemisphere so easily.

Kiwi singer/songwriter Anna Coddington teamed up with Story Hemi-Morehouse to create 'Blue, Blue Christmas'- a children's book depicting the traditional Kiwi summer Christmas.

She says she appreciates the wintery Christmas aesthetic, but found it impossible to re-enact in the New Zealand summer heat.

"That appealed to me, the idea of a young kid clicking on to that and getting worried about Santa getting too hot in his big red suit and freaking out about it."
