Drivers across the state will need to keep a watchful eye on where they park this year as officials enforce a new law that makes it illegal for people to park within 20 feet of a marked or unmarked crosswalk.
This is called daylighting, and data shows it reduces crashes by up to 30 percent. The law went into effect at the start of the year, and over the next 12 months, drivers will receive a warning if they don't follow the rule.
