Finding the way. Find the way every week. Camolo Buffalo, no overthinking. All right, go play football. We'll play the football. It's an exciting time to be a Buffalo Bill and a fan of the Buffalo Bills. Welcome into Week eleven of the Sean McDermott Show, presented by Connors and Ferris, your workers comp attorneys. I'm Steve Tasker, pleased to be joined once again by Sean McDermott. Coach, Thanks as always for joining us. You guys bounced back in a huge way with a win over the Jets on the road. What'd you think of the way your team responded after the loss in Jacksonville? Well, I thought they made the appropriate adjustments, quite honestly, Steve and we had talked about some things during the week, things we needed to do, things we needed to get fixed, and they responded both off the field and on the field. And I thought all three phases really put together a complete game. He came off your lowest scoring game of the year, but then you put up a season high forty five points. Your offense also had a season high four hundred and eighty nine yards. You average nine yards of play, you went for six, you went six for seven in the red zone. Seemed like Brian Dayball really mixed up the looks with different personnel packages and drew up some explosive plays. What impressed you most about the way your offense played this week? Yeah, they played great team offense. I really believe that. I know the word is used a lot thrown around a lot on defense, team defense, but in this case, I thought it was team offense, with the offensive line, the backs, the tight ends, and the receivers all chipping in in some way, shape or formed to get the production that you just detailed for us here. Yeah, your quarterback was back on track. Josh was twenty one of twenty eight for three to sixty six two touchdowns against the Jets. You had three hundred and five yards on play action passes. That's the second most ever recorded in the next GIN stats era. What was different about your passing game this week that got Josh in the offense back on track? Well, again, you mentioned it. I thought Brian Dable caught a great game and had a great game plan with the offensive staff, and then the players executed. You know one thing that I will mention is I thought the multiplicity of the offensive looks I thought was key and giving the defense different looks and keeping them off balance. So that's something that we've got to continue to do moving forward. All Right, Let's be honest for the fans at home, getting Josh on track is as much about getting Stefan Diggs going. And he went out and had a monster day. He looked like the Stefan Diggs we got used to watching last season. He had eight catches for a buck sixty two and a touchdown. Seemed like the Jets did not have an answer for him. How does his success fuel other parts of your offense. Well, he's a great energizer for us. He's a catalyst earl in the game he was for us, and the intensity that Steph brings to practice, the intensity he brings to the game on Sundays is unmatched. And the players felt that the energy that he brought to our sideline. And again, you watched what he did in the past game, that's you know, on TV for everyone to see. But what's not probably focus in on as much as is his effort in the run game and how he's helped spring some of those long runs for us. Well, you said last week you wanted to get your rushing offense going and well, for the first time in team history, four different guys rush for touchdowns and your quarterback, Josh Allen wasn't one of them. Three of your running backs ran one in and then Isaiah McKenzie took in a jet suite. Matt Breed to finished with two total touchdowns, one on the ground, one through the air. What new elements does breed to bring to your offense, Well, it's that speed element. See what Zach is Broad and Devin have brought to our offense, and then you add Breeda with a speed element. It's really a good combination and good to see him get back on the field be active for the game. He's worked extremely hard in practice, been inactive for the last handful of weeks. But good to see him back out there and contribute not only on offense but also special teams. Yeah. Now we have to switch gears and go over the other side of the ball and talk about the five takeaways your defense force. Each one came from a different member of your secondary Terror and Trey, Levi, Jordan all had interceptions and then Micah had the force fumble and recovered it before the half. I know they've been a part of two shutouts this season, but is it the best game they've played all year? Well, when you look at the back end and the way they played, how they played, I mean, they definitely got some takeaways through the air. The one on the ground with the funnel that Micael Force I thought was really a game changer in the momentum of the game. We went on to score, you know, seven after that, and that was just all effort. You know, you love to watch those plays and it's really become our DNA that those effort plays. They're fun to watch. All Right, That's enough of this for now, Coach. We're gonna catch up with you later in the show to get your final thoughts on your upcoming matchup with the Indianapolis Colts. The game plan is presented by Energy Market, the official energy supplier to the Buffalo Bills. Game preview is presented by Independent elth You deserve the red shirt treatment, Maddie glab here with this week's game preview. It's a rematch of the first round of the twenty twenty playoffs. The lead of the AFC East and the Buffalo Bills are facing the Indianapolis Colts to our second in the AFC South. The Colts seem to be heating up as they've won their last four or five games, averaging thirty four points per game in the last three. Buffalo must be stout against the run on Sunday because they'll have to stop Jonathan Taylor, who ties for the most rushing yards in the NFL with nine hundred and thirty seven. Taylor is averaging five point eight yards per carry, good for second amongst running backs, and has nine rushing touchdowns. The Colts offense is averaging twenty six point eight points per game, which ranks eighth in the NFL. Oddly enough, the Bills in the Colts are right next to each other and turnover differential. Buffalo has the best in the NFL at plus fourteen and Indianapolis is second at plus eleven. They each have ten turnovers so far this season and are right next to each other in takeaways as well. The Bills will try to build off their forty five point victory last week, as they have bumped their average backup to scoring thirty one points per game, which is second best in the NFL. Josh Allen and Stefan Diggs are hoping for similar performances to when they last played the Colts, because Allen completed seventy four percent of his passes and had three total touchdowns, while Diggs racked up one hundred and twenty eight receiving yards and a touchdown. Buffalo's defense is still on top of the NFL, as they're allowing the fewest points per game with fourteen and the fewest yards per game with two hundred and seventy four. Their twenty four takeaways are the most in the NFL and the most in team history through nine games since nineteen ninety three. The Bills lead the series against the Colts with thirty eight wins and thirty two losses. That's this week's game preview, Steve back to you. Thanks as always, Maddie coach. The Colts are coming to town. They've won four out of their last five games, and a big part of their success has been because of Jonathan Taylor. He's got one hundred plus scrimmage yards and a rushing touchdown in seven straight games. He's the only the fourth player in the Super Bowl ara to get that done. Why is he such a special player, Well, you look at his skill set. He's big, he's strong, power full, it's got a good field for the game, and he's extremely fast. You don't usually find all those qualities in one running back, but he has them all and he is a force to be reckoned with and probably, if not the one of the top running backs in the league for a reason, and he's so young. It's not always you see a player like this come along, in particular this early in his career. Now, you faced this Colts team in the playoffs last year and they had Philip Rivers under center. Now they've got a new quarterback at the helm and Carson Wentz. Now he battled injuries early on, but it looks like Frank Reich is starting to push the right buttons and get the most out of him. How differently does this Colts team play with Wentz at quarterbacker than they did last year with Philip Rivers under center. You know, Frank's not going to be without a good quality quarterback, and so it didn't surprise I don't think anyone in this league when you saw Carson end up in Indianapolis, so you know they knew each other obviously from Philadelphia a little bit there. And great coach on one side, great player on the other. So again it would be a challenge for our defense trying to balance that alone with the run game and or overall offense as well with the weapons that they have. One last thing that this will be your only home game in the month of November, and that's when the NFL celebrates the Salute to Service initiative. How special is this Salute to Service recognition to you personally? Oh, it's huge, you know. You look at what the military does for our country and for our community locally here in Western New York, and just extremely honored to be able to celebrate and shine a light on the military for all that they've done for us for so many years. Coach, Thanks, good luck On Sunday, we'll catch up with you after Thanksgiving and recap your game against the New Orleans Saints and then preview your matchup with the Patriots on a Monday night.
