Farm input costs expected to outpace inflation in 2026

New figures warn farm input costs are expected to rise higher than inflation in 2026. 

The annual consumer price index currently sits at 3.8% but fertiliser costs are expected to rise 6%,  and fodder is up 15%.

ABARES says farmers are also receiving more for their produce.
