Bomani and Mina discuss whether Darnold is holding the Seahawks back, why Seattle’s offense has become too dependent on Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and how much the team misses Kenneth Walker III. Would turning to Drew Lock actually solve anything, or do the problems go deeper than the quarterback?

Then, they examine Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, Walker’s impact on the running game, and concerns about the Chiefs’ wide receivers. They also discuss the Los Angeles Rams’ disappointing offense, Matthew Stafford, and what’s going wrong with Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos.

Plus, has Justin Herbert’s situation with the Los Angeles Chargers finally broken him? Bomani and Mina explore his struggles, the toll of repeated hits, and why evaluating quarterback regression is so difficult. They also get into the Detroit Lions’ defensive problems, Jared Goff and Jahmyr Gibbs, Caleb Williams’ improvement, and Bryce Young changing the conversation in Carolina.

Finally, they discuss the Giants’ Jameis Winston–JJ McCarthy decision, Kyler Murray’s fit in Minnesota, and why Brian Flores’ Vikings defense continues to stand out.
