What Makes the Miraculous Medal So Miraculous? (Special Podcast Highlight)

View descriptionShare

Do you have a Miraculous Medal? Do you keep it close by?

On The Patrick Madrid Show, Helene from Arizona called in with a great question that you might have wondered too: What makes the Miraculous Medal so miraculous? Here's Patrick's response.

A Brief History: It all started with St. Catherine Labouré, a French nun who received a private vision of the Blessed Virgin Mary back in the 1800s. An angel led her to a chapel where Our Lady asked for a medal to be created, showing her image on one side and powerful symbols on the other. This medal was meant to be a sign of love for God and Mary, and a way to ask for graces that people often miss out on simply because they don’t even ask!

Countless Miracles: Since then, there have been countless stories of miracles linked to the Miraculous Medal—healings, conversions, and dramatic transformations. The stories are too many to count now, but they all share something in common: this simple devotion has led people to deeper faith in Jesus and His Mother.

What's It For? Think of the medal like a wedding ring—a visible reminder of your love and devotion. When you feel it or see it, you’re reminded of your connection to God. Plus, it's a conversation starter! If someone asks, you get to share your faith. That's always a good thing, right?!

It’s a simple, powerful way to keep your heart close to Our Lady and Jesus. ⛪
