From crunching numbers to closing deals, Sino Ilunga has made one of the most remarkable career shifts in the South African automotive industry. In just twelve months, she went from Financial Manager to one of the country’s top national Sales Executives, selling over 174 cars in her first year. With a National Diploma in Accounting from the University of Johannesburg and an Advanced Diploma in Business Management from Mancosa, where she graduated cum laude, Sino has blended her financial expertise with a keen understanding of buyer behavior.
Her performance earned her the first-ever CEO national award for trailblazers in sales in 2024, a rare feat for a young woman thriving in a male-dominated space. Relaunched in March 2025 after an overwhelming early response, it has already generated over 200 submissions, with visitor numbers climbing past 2,700. The Wellness Collective Summit 2025, hosted by WomenCan at Pere House in Johannesburg, brought together over 250 healthcare experts, business leaders and policy-makers to tackle one pressing issue: how to protect public health through science-led harm reduction strategies. The discussions explored ways to reduce the dangers linked to tobacco use, alcohol abuse, lifestyle diseases and the social pressures that worsen poor health outcomes. Experts called for practical, evidence-based solutions that empower South Africans to make informed choices about their well-being.
Speakers also addressed the need for safer skincare products, healthier food options, and stronger action on substance abuse. From Clover’s lactose-free innovations to warnings about harmful cosmetics, the message was clear that collaboration between government, industry and civil society is key. Mental health, regulation as well as public education all emerged as central themes, with calls for policies rooted in science and real-life experiences.
