The trial-within-a-trial in the Senzo Meyiwa murder case is currently underway in the high court in Pretoria. The case was adjourned this morning to allow the defence to go through the dockets of ongoing investigations the accused are linked to. Five men are currently on trial for the murder of the soccer captain who was shot and killed in 2014. The defence is challenging the admissibility of confession statements allegedly made by some of the accused. Lead investigator in the matter Brigadier Bongani Gininda has been on the witness stand.
