The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has adjourned until Monday. Key to today’s proceedings was the legal application brought by the North West businessman Suleiman Carrim who wanted his appearance at the commission to be heard in-camera.

SARS announce collection tall for 2025 financial year

Members of the South African National Defence Force have begun deploying across parts of the Western Cape from today, as part of a wider national effort to combat crime. More than 2,200 soldiers have been deployed to patrol crime-ridden areas in the Western Cape, Gauteng, Eastern Cape, Free State and North West. The deployment forms part of Operation Prosper and is set to continue until March 2027
