A koala became wedged in the front grille of a Holden Commodore after a driver rounded a corner just before midnight on Saturday in Adelaide South. The driver stopped immediately and found the animal trapped in the precarious position. The koala, named Axel by rescuers, underwent x-rays and a veterinary examination and is expected to be released back into the wild within days.
