German house airing practice goes viral

View descriptionShare
Luften is a German practice of airing out homes that has gained viral attention. The method involves fully opening windows, often on opposite sides of the house, for five to ten minutes daily throughout the year, including winter. Also called Stoßlüften (shot ventilation) or 'house burping', the practice helps shift stale air, prevent mould growth, and reduce the spread of germs.
