Alison Porter rose to fame as a child actress in the 1991 film Curly Sue and appeared in Parenthood alongside Steve Martin. After transitioning from acting to pursue her passion for music, she performed on Broadway in productions including Footloose and A Chorus Line before winning the tenth season of The Voice America in 2016. She is currently working on a new album, 35 years after her breakout film role, and maintains connections with former co-stars including Jim Belushi and mentor Christina Aguilera.
